Kielder Observatory

Introduction to Astronomy runs Wednesdays and Saturdays 5pm - 7pm and we also run Space Kids during the school holidays for the youngest visitors.
They cover concepts such as navigating the sky or telescope workshops. Recommended ages are six years old and upwards. The focus of these events is on education and introducing the basics of astronomy, but if the skies are clear we may get the chance to glimpse the moon, a planet or maybe the sun depending on the season.

Kielder Observatory

29th Nov 19 - 19th Nov 2020

Join us for a special evening of talks and all your astronomy questions will be answered, then, if the skies are clear, we'll be taking a good look at the beautiful sights of the cosmos, if not we have the technology to bring it alive.
Of these two events, Late Night Dark Skies is timed near to the new moon when the sky is at its darkest and this is the only event where there is a 30% discount on a future booking if you are unable to observe as well as a free Kielder mug!
