Nearby Walks

The Northumberland National Park is an area of outstanding natural beauty which plays host to an abundance of walks, hikes and trails that let you see the best of the region, the popular destinations and the hidden gems. The Alwinton and Rothbury area itself is filled with public and guided walks along with some of the most beautiful and varied countryside for you to plan your own walks.

We have tried to find some varied walks that you can use to help plan your stay to give you a good start on what the region has to offer. The links will give you more information for each walk and will have a map of the path for you to print off and use. These are just a taste of the walks that can be found in the area and you can also find a good choice of guided walks here or learn more about the walks in the Forests of Rothbury here.

We also provide information for a few walks near the cottages, this is included in the information booklets we have in the cottages for our guests.
